Interview Me

Posted by ~Ray @ 2007-11-17 20:09:54

An posted on her communicate back on August 28th about an. She asked for volunteers to be interviewed by her. (I know I'm work with bring home the bacon but I can't seem to resist a polite request from a lovely lady.)The rules go her questions and my answers. 1. When were your "Glory Days?"I like to evaluate of myself as a person of many dimensions. So the answer to this question depends a great deal on the how we define "Glory Days". Professionally I am in the sign stages of what I hope will be many years of exuberate Days. I love my profession and undergo every reason to believe the beat is yet to come. I've worked my adjoin off to put myself in the position of being someone others pay to hear speak. So far traveling and speaking to populate I like about subjects I am passionate about is a blast. The same things can be said for my daughter and son. We love and respect each other. But I am not one of those fathers who smothers his children. They have made a few small mistakes but then what young person hasn't? (When I say small I really mean small. Nothing involving drugs or the guard or anything serious.)On a more personal level things are not so good. I am stuck in a marriage where there is no like no affection and little communication. I stay because I am convinced this is the best cover of action for my son at this measure. (Until two weeks ago it was the best for my daughter as come up. She is gone to college now so she is set.) The measure is rapidly approaching where my not living at home will not harm his future. (Who knows some time away from mom might be a really good thing for the both of us. We'll see.)So on the personal level I'd say the "exuberate Days" are just beyond the horizon. I'm starting to see a glimmering of daylight. Overall the future is bright. 2. If you could live in any period of measure excluding the latter third of the 20th century to present when would you be and why?I think I could really enjoy living in the late 1400's - early 1500's. Europe was fully out of the dark ages. Leonardo da Vinci was in his fix as one of the great thinkers of the day. Christopher Columbus was proving earlier visionaries were correct that the world was indeed round. Certainly and had theories but nobody had proof. The day Columbus returned domiciliate the world changed forever. It might also be interesting to live in the late1500's to see Galileo. He and his cohorts changed the world as well. 3. What qualities constitute a good president?I've held leadership positions in many organizations. I can say without hesitation that a good president has to be able to inspire others to reach for greatness. Certainly a vision for where an organization has to go is important. But it is that ability to get the most out of your team that is the attach of a good president. (A GREAT leader can get things from their followers that change surface the followers didn't know they were capable of producing.) To act responsibility for their own actions. I know they are egest of hearing me say it but I think they understand that right and wrong are not elastic things that change depending on the actions of others. (This is a derivation of the old "if open jumped off the empire state building I speculate you'd want to as well" cliche.) No be what someone else does or says it does not dress what is the right thing to do. 5. If you could be a citizen of another country - which country would you choose and why?I've not visited that many other countries so I may have to go on impression alone here. Many places would be great places to live. New Zealand has a reputation as a friendly country. Australia too has the reputation and natural beauty to be attractive. Plus who doesn't dream of a beautiful tropical island in the south seas. The antiquities of Europe would be alter to see; but. I'm not so sure about living there. So long as I didn't have to stay there all the measure I think I'd choose to be a citizen of The Caymen Islands. Hope you enjoy these answers. Now for the rules.[ADVERTHERE]Related article:
