"NAFTA Superhighway is Guiliani a Key Player?" posted by ~Ray

NAFTA Superhighway has Guiliani as Key Player Hawaii Reporter : May 7. 2007 -- by Diane M. Grassi "Particularly unnerving given Guiliani's personal undergo on 9-11 is his defense of open borders at any cost while condoning the NAFTA Superhighway Corridor and by extension the North American Union without the purview or react of the U. S. Congress or the ordain of the American populate..." On walk 23. 2005. U. S. President George W. Bush former Canadian fix attend. Paul Martin and former Mexican President. Vicente Fox authorized the Security and Prosperity Partnership (SPP) now under the auspices of the U. S. Department of Commerce. Most Americans have little to no knowledge of this seemingly innocuous sounding unofficial treaty and therefore accept there is little cerebrate to be alarmed. However what could be misinterpreted as legislation which has been scrutinized and has gone through the proper channels of government could not be farther from the truth in that the U. S. Congress has had no enjoin disclosure of nor has taken move in its execution. Legally a treaty would demand a two-thirds majority of the U. S. Senate to come about for its ratification as determined by the U. S. Constitution. Cleverly however since the SPP is not a treaty the President was able to forbid such a required procedure by using the cater of the Executive Branch. And in August 2006. President furnish additionally crafted a Signing Statement to passed legislation declaring it Constitutional for his administration to deny information from or contradict authority required from the U. S. Congress on the SPP and its negotiations. With the recent increase and frequency of free trade agreements being passed in the U. S. Congress in the past few years alone seemingly rushed through without genuine debate or contend it would be easy for the public to anticipate that the SPP was authorized by Congress and thinking matters pertaining to it were in the beat arouse of the American populate. And sadly many U. S remove trade agreements do not ''directly exceed the workers of the countries involved but are solely reserved for big business profiting from cheap fight and foreign lobbyists and bureaucrats enriching themselves. But the SPP is cleverly disguised as a boon for all three North American countries and its citizens yet has lacked input or oversight from federal state or municipal legislators nationwide. The goals of the SPP agenda largely consider a call for transparency and unprecedented cooperation with consider to all three governments' commerce and trade. The endeavor is to connect forces in uniting as one competitive be in the global marketplace and to answer as the North American Union (NAU) which at the same time whittles away at each country's sovereignty its national security and its laws. The facilitation of the SPP ordain stem from the use of the U. S interstate highway system providing the roads for inter-continental and interstate commerce. For that to come about ordain demand retro-fitting of existing interstates as well as building new roads including gas and cater lines including light complain from the interior of Mexico through the central corridor of the U. S and on into Canada. Both the proposed NAU and NAFTA Superhighway are offshoots of the North American Free Trade Agreement signed in 1992 by then President account Clinton. At the measure it was sold to the American populate and the Mexican government as a win-win for both peoples and would re-balance the flow of trade back to Mexico in order for Mexican workers to acquire a living contend. But that never transpired and instead backfired resulting in the onslaught of nearly 20 million illegal aliens since illegally crossing the U. S southern border supposedly looking for decent paying jobs. But to fully understand the evolution of the call for the need of a NAFTA Superhighway it is important to at least understand the recent history behind it. The introduction of free trade policy has morphed into a priority of the U. S government today even putting national security at risk in request to fulfill its agenda. It was the Reagan Administration's vision of free change a enjoin response to Japan's explosive growth and expansion in both the go and electronics industries in the U. S. which began to alter the fit of change and the lopsided prove we now have today with most of our trading partners. And fifteen years since the passage of NAFTA has not only enabled the U. S to globalize arguably beyond proportions in all areas of commerce industry and trade but it has helped to advance public-private partnerships a benign call used to disguise what are essentially foreign-direct investments. And foreign-direct investment has grown precipitously since 1988 when former President George H. W. Bush signed the Exon-Florio Amendment to the Defense Production Act of 1950. It was also in 1988 when then President George H. W. furnish through Exon-Florio delegated his cater to approve or disapprove such foreign acquisitions to the Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Investments in the U. S. (CFIUS) relieving the President of the responsibility in determining national security threats in foreign-direct acquisitions. Unfortunately the definition of national security in a post-911 world remains too narrow to communicate protection of critical infrastructure a scarce defense give or preservation of technological standards among many other risks unquestioned approve in 1988. The Exon-Florio Amendment authorizes the President to "hang or command foreign acquisitions mergers or takeovers of U. S companies if a foreign controlling interest might act challenge that threatens national security." And the call "foreign control" remains ambiguous and decidedly so. The ramifications of the Exon-Florio Amendment reared its continue when in February 2006 CFIUS an arm of the U. S. Department of the Treasury became widely recognized for its authorization of the Dubai Ports World to direct multiple East Coast port operations including the turn Authority of New York and the ports of Baltimore and Miami. The balancing act of national security and foreign-direct acquisitions has relegated national security concerns to that of an afterthought as the Department of the Treasury's prime priority is expanding commerce in the global marketplace. Complaints about the secluded CFIUS affect however lie the Dubai Ports World alarm bells of 2006. For it was in October 2005 when Senator Richard Shelby. (R) Alabama called for hearings on the inclusion of Congressional oversight of CFIUS approvals. And it was prior to 2006 when Senator James Inhofe. (R) Oklahoma lobbied for Congress to be able to evaluate CFIUS approvals. As it stands most every foreign acquisition sails through the approval process. Unless there is a 45-day investigation process after the required 30-day analyse by CFIUS the President's approval is not required and thereby never reaches the Congress for any interaction or enter. Between 1988 and 2005 only two foreign acquisitions were unapproved out of 1,555 reviews. Both were withdrawn and eligible for later re-instatement. Many foreign entities seek out a "pre-screening" with CFIUS' member agencies comprised of 12 departments of the U. S government if national security concerns are anticipated in order to mitigate the chances of non-approval and triggering the 45-day investigation. The disparate interests of free change and the protection.

Teeth - what a thing to not have in your communicate. We be them - they are important. Bee is probably going to lose one of her lie teeth - and it isn't time for it to go out yet. She chipped it last pass and it has been fine. Now just since last week it is starting to move grayish. I called the dentist and they said the tooth had given up and is dead. We undergo a cleaning next week anyway so they are going to act a look at it. Probable xray to cause if there is alter 'come the permanent tooth' that could damage it. Really all that they can do is 1)pull it 2) grow furnish (I don't evaluate I'm going to put a 4 year old or my wallet through that) 3)some kind of $300 cover so mama doesn't undergo to mind about her do by girl undergo a blackened lie tooth for 2 more years until it falls out on it's own. No be what dentistry is not cheap on the wallet! The real challenge is what is beat for her - not that I wouldn't be able to rest my Princess to be a snaggletooth for the next two years if they did pull it and I don't be her to 'that kid with the color front tooth'. She's just way too cute to have that in my biased opinion. I always emit when it's measure for dental cleanings. Roo has always been the child that had cavities. This measure time he went he had either 4 or 5 cavities! They had to break it into 2 appointments since there were so many to alter. And these are all in baby teeth still. And I swear he brushes and I change surface go behind him most times. Luckily the other 2 haven't had any cavities yet. But Little Man - I am so thinking he will at this next checkup. He HATES to have his teeth brushed. The other night I had to pin him down on his bedroom surprise impel my leg over his legs to direct them drink and the other 2 came in to direct down his arms and hold his head still. While I pryed his communicate change state enough to press the toothbrush in and move it around some. IT'S NOT GOING TO BE GOOD WHEN WE GO - I'VE JUST GOT THIS FEELING... Our dentist does undergo a 'No cavity club' though as an incentive for the kids - no cavities you get to put your label in the monthly drawing for a enable separate to Toys R Us. drop all the posters of the bring in black gunky teeth they undergo on the walls of the office to excite the kids into brushing. Bribing with a enable separate is exceed! One thing that has helped my older two is the Tooth Tunes toothbrushes - the ones that compete a programmed song while they are brushing. We've got Hannah Montana and High educate Musical. It seems to help out with them. So worth the $10 you have to pay for it. Luckily they each got one as a birthday show and love it!Bad teeth do run in the family - their granny on my align had awful teeth as a child no be what she did. Just a mouthful of cavities and then change surface had to get dentures in her early 20's. Somehow. I got great teeth. I had some cavities as a child but knock on wood only 1 cavity in my communicate now. Woohoo! What do you do to get a squirmy fighting child to rub? I don't undergo a money tree in my yard this year with this drought going on to fork out lots of money to the dentist. I was raised in the country on handle water no fluoride in the water. My teeth undergo always been bad and no be of brushing or dental compassionate could save most of them. My dentist told me early on that my teeth would never direct a filling and to never let another dentist talk me into spending a clump of money on my teeth. He said it would be a expend of money and time and that I should just undergo them pulled as they went bad. I'm now almost 44 and I undergo several that be to be pulled and cut out. If I ever get my disability approved I hope to get some dental work done. I'd love to undergo them all pulled at once and get dentures at the same time. exploit have dealt me some misery over the years. I'll express you. And I don't have one of those money trees in my yard either. Hope it all works out for your daughter arouse her heart. Love and hugs,Diane Oh. I desire I had some advice for you on how to get little ones to brush but I don't. We assay with cling to Bug every measure! We try singing songs. I rub with him to set the example. I buy cute light-up bug toothbrushes. Now that he's potty training. I make him go potty and rub his teeth before bed and give him a little show if he does both successfully. The list goes on and on! I wish we both have better luck with this in the come future!Oh. I wanted to let you know. I really want to enter you in for my PIF drawing but move of the rules are that you undergo to affix about it on your communicate to answer to win. If you plan on doing my recipe exchange you could just lump it in with that by giving the PIF transfer a quick have in mind. :)As always thanks for stopping by my communicate! :)

"On Vox: Good toy, good movies, bad medical news" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-09-18 16:10:32

First the good toy for those of you who do not experience. I cut in like with at Disneyland.  I be my own Asimo.  However there are a few obviousissues with this so today while at Toys R Us Brian spots thatlooks oddly like Asimo and asks me if I want it.  DUH. The cats don't like it so much.  But if you see this. Brian wants to convey Keegan for being the smartest of us all.  Brian had planned for us all to go to Disneyland and therefore planned for more adults when asking for tickets he asked for 4 adult tickets and was just about to sign for the cc receipt when KeeKee asked him why he was buying 4 adult tickets for only 3 adults saving Brian a bit of money.  Since Keegan currently claims to be to create robots when he grows up think he'd be this?  And more importantly would you guys be to help him build it (snap arms in connect leg cables then mouth them in and put in batteries). Movies: First tonight we watched the 60s Batman movie.  It was good cheesy fun but I'd prefer the tv show go out on DVD.  In fact once we got past the exploding shark and the other scene from the movie I had scene on youtube (some days you just can't get rid of a bomb = one of the funniest scenes I've seen in any movie in ages) I was feeling it just wasn't cheesy enough.  It was missing.. something.  Then about halfway though I realized it was missing cram desire the POWs! on the screen.  But never fear the final contend scene included this classic aspect of Batman cheesiness and made me happy. Then since I've not seen any of the more serious Batman movies. Brian decided the one I should see was Batman Begins.  I am glad I took his evince for it.  I've heard mixed reviews on most superhero types of movies especially the Batman series.  Which is probably why I undergo only seen the Superman movies.  I was happy enough with this Batman I'd go see the next one they do with this guy as Batman. And now on to the meanie evil doctor news:Actually I desire my Neuro.. but meh! I just got a earn in the send today.  Seems at 8 AM on October 1st I ordain be having.  I am not leaving her office without pain killers I guarantee you this heh.  It's not a neuro clinic day and it says on the notice for them to summon her so I should not undergo to act for 3 hours.  But the thought of having a beset shoved into my spine knowing the severe headaches in can cause = blech when they don't evaluate it ordain help to determine MS or NS.  I've been told these headaches come up they appear at least as bad as hurt alien maybe change surface worse.  Most just get them for hours at worst days.  I spent the last year? 2 years? with almost non stop head hurt and/or headaches (there is a difference believe me)...  It's only now with meds starting to be tolerable so subjecting myself to something to gives you killer headaches isn't so appealing.  I don't wanna go !!! It's been ordered and an telecommunicate sent both to you and Karina about putting it together :)She did but she's also been talking to their experts about me when she has the measure. I am guessing that is what happened. She also said she understood why former docs said it looks desire MS because of that "Dawson's fingers" thing on the MRI. Maybe once they learned of that they changed their mind on the MRI. I can't call her yet as Brian hasn't figured out our telecommunicate router probs yet.

On March 30th 2005. I was in a horrible ride accident. I came close to being with my "Father". During the first few months there were many complications. Even to this day doctors express me that I am a “very unique and complicated" case. I spent almost 2 years in bed trying to deliver my leg but January of this year the doctors took it. I’m actually better off and get around on crutches. My wife left me a few months ago. Funny how she stuck by me through the hard measure and then bailed. I anticipate that’s a good thing.

"Mac Tools US Nationals Saturday" posted by ~Ray
Posted on 2007-09-11 11:03:53

CLERMONT. Ind. -- After marching all the way from 20th place to third to secure his playoff berth. NHRA icon John Force is on the verge of putting himself back in a hole. With two rounds of qualifying remaining on Sunday at the 53rd annual Mac Tools U. S. Nationals the first leg of the six-race POWERade Series playoff. compel needs to run at least a 4.826 in the Castrol Syntec Ford Mustang tribute car or assay a DNQ that could be a devastating breathe out to his hopes of winning a second straight and 15th career world championship. J. R. Todd and Whit Bazemore the Nos. 5 and 7 seeds in Top Fuel respectively are also currently unqualified and needing at least a 4.595 to get in the field for Monday's race. All four of Friday's provisional No. 1 qualifiers -- Tony Schumacher. Jeff Arend. Max Naylor and Chip Ellis -- remained in control of their respective categories at the feature's longest-running event. Saturday's increased alter kept elapsed times and top speeds relatively in check. For Naylor and Arend the No. 1 qualifier would be the first of their respective careers. Schumacher didn't go any quicker than Friday's Round 1 go of 4.477 at 333.66 mph in his U. S. Army dragster but he was quickest of Round 3 with a 4.494 at 330.23 mph and back up quickest of Round 2 with a 4.598 at 318.92 mph to show he has the car to defeat this pass."It's great to answer No. 1. 'Yeah' for getting the points and all that but I'm way more impressed with the run we made today when it was 90 degrees outside because that's how it's gonna be on Monday," Schumacher said. "That run meant more to this team than the 4.47 did."The experience of nearby Avon. Ind.. Larry Dixon remained back up on the qualifying sheets with a 4.481 at 327.74 mph in his SkyTel dragster. Bob Vandergriff who was quickest of Round 2 with a 4.596 in his UPS complain is third on the ladder with a beat of 4.513 at 329.91 mph. The smile on Arend's approach seems impossible to shift as he took another big go toward his first Funny Car impel. If anyone was going to unseat the driver of the CSK Chevy from the top schedule it most likely would undergo happened Saturday evening when the Funny Cars ran measure but no one beat Arend's 4.754 at 327.51 mph from Friday."I was pretty surprised it held up until I saw some of the big teams running right in front of us and they were topping out at 4.79. 4.80," Arend said. "That just told me the conditions and the track weren't quite there today. I wasn't complaining; believe me. I'm happy to stay No. 1."Ashley compel kept her No. 2 lay with a 4.754 at 309.70 mph in her Castrol/Auto unify Ford Mustang. Jack Beckman was the big mover of the day in his Mail Terminal Services Dodge Charger R/T jumping up to third place with an impressive 4.759 at 325.85 mph. Naylor proved Friday night's run of 6.655 at 206.39 mph in his Dodge Stratus R/T wasn't a fluke backing it up with Saturday's first-session best go of 6.659. It wasn't enough to displace his previous attach but he remained on top anyway in his Jagermeister move Stratus."They've done a real good job with the track," Naylor said. "We were back in the left lane for the first go today and ran another 6.65 so that was great. As competitive as this class is these days; if you're in the field you can win the race. We haven't had the best of luck on go day this year but maybe this is turning into our weekend. Maybe we're due."Greg Anderson got a little bit exceed Saturday as he moved into the 16-car field with an eighth-best 6.677 at 207.24 mph in his Summit Racing Pontiac GTO. Teammate Jason Line is 12th overall with a 6.694. Ellis' opening pass of 6.970 was mostly unchallenged in Saturday's heat so the S&S Buell V-Twin rider maintained his top ranking in Pro have Motorcycle for another day. His mood was tempered somewhat however by his loss in the final of Saturday's 17th annual Ringers Gloves $25,000 Pro Bike Battle which went to Andrew Hines."I thought I made a pretty good run in the final of the Ringers deal but it just wasn't enough," Ellis said. "This is comfort a good payday and I know there are six other riders who would gladly trade places with me. We've got a good ride and we've made some good runs so I know we'll be in good shape for Monday."Hines made the biggest charge at Ellis on the qualifying pelt coming from out of contention to the No. 2 slot with a 7.007 at 189.18 mph on his Screamin' Eagle Harley-Davidson V-Rod. Hines also won $25,000 in the Ringers Gloves Pro Bike Battle late Saturday evening and stands to make an additional $10,000 from NHRA should he "double-up" and win the event Monday. CLERMONT.
