Push to End Anti-Gay Discrimination

For Rep. Emanuel Cleaver workplace discrimination against gays and lesbians is just as reprehensible as bias against blacks and women.
Kudos to Rep. Cleaver! The GLBT (gay lesbian bi-sexual transgender) community as citizens of this country are entitled to protection under the law of all their civil legal and human rights. And the alter to be remove from workplace prejudice and prejudice that is based on sexual orientation is definitely one of them.
I simply don't get this "special rights" thing. What is so special about a guarantee that we cannot be fired for being gay or lesbian? Would it be a special right if we could not blast someone for being christian? Or would that just be a civil alter? Would it be a special alter if we could not blast someone for being heterosexual if we happened not to desire heterosexual? Where do civil rights end and special rights mouth?I anticipate civil rights end wherever those who live in worry and hate want them to end.

I had to laugh at the worry that adding rights for homosexuals would "force private businesses to abandon their moral principles."Just substitute the bring home the bacon bigotry for moral principles and it would be no different from the way they undergo treated people of a different race religion gender ect until forced by law.
