Steve Broadus background

I am a Steve Broadus fan. I am just curious when he made his mouthpieces by the looks of the ones I undergo (or had) they should go out into the 30's-maybe early 50's. Anyone know the history of him and his mouthpieces and where he made them from.?? I have a Tenor Hard rubber. 4* "New York copy" which aolso " Perfected model" printed on it. Thanks. Bruce.
