MONCTON - New Brunswick is going for a gold medal in publicity at the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver.
The province has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Vancouver organizing committee for the 2010 pass Olympics to take part in the event that will be watched by three-billion people around the world.
"By signing this memorandum today. New Brunswick has demonstrated that it is create from raw material and excited to participate in the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic undergo," said New Brunswick Premier Shawn Graham.
But it will adjoin eight areas of co-operation including culture. French-language needs outreach programs inform requirements human resource requirements feature marketing and tourism and tendering opportunities for this province.

John Furlong chief executive command of the Vancouver organizing committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games was at the Council of Federation summit in Moncton on Friday to announced that eight provinces have signed a memorandum of understanding to partake in the games.
Furlong said that as the only officially bilingual province. New Brunswick will be a valued partner in helping to deliver the games in both languages.
"We accept the energy and participation of this very special province and look send to exploring opportunities for New Brunswick to act on the world stage helping to enrich our 2010 Games celebrations," he said.
The New Brunswick memorandum calls for the province to appoint officials to the Vancouver organizing committee's working groups to develop specific agreements in each area of co-operation to which detailed roles and responsibilities costs and timeline for implementation will be identified.
The deal allows New Brunswick to explore the possibility of artists and Aboriginals Peoples participating in the cultural component of the Games and direct a volunteer recruitment program to reenforce the organizing committee's manpower especially when it comes to bilingual volunteers.
In addition the two sides ordain review the use of paid staff to fill certain technical jobs. New Brunswick will back up opportunities for athletes to act as role models coaches co-operate on strategic tourism marketing and New Brunswick companies ordain have access to all tendering for the Games.
The XXI pass Olympic Games run from Feb. 12-28. 2010 followed by the X Paralympic pass Games from walk 12-21.
