Efforts to Bring 2018 Winter Olympics to Reno-Tahoe in Full Swing

Several gathered up at Mt. Rose on Tuesday with one goal to bring the 2018 Winter Olympic Games to Reno-Tahoe.
The 1960 Winter Games were held in Tahoe but were confined to Squaw Valley. Those supporting the 2018 campaign told News 4 the Reno-Tahoe games would include more events and athletes as well as undergo a huge force on tourism in the region.
They also said they are confident Reno-Tahoe has the capability to host such an event with large venues like Lawlor Events bear on and the University of Nevada. Reno to answer as a plausible Olympic Village.
The bulk of the alter cram is on the NV side anyway so CA should just act their noses out of it until the NV folks undergo it sewn up!
I used to be in Reno and drive up to Tahoe all the time.

I am of the opinion that it would ruin one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen.

Tahoe would probably only be used for skiing (alpine slalom and jumping) and sledding events (sled and luge).
Any large venues and the olympic village would be down in Reno.
